What I have always wanted to say is
The world flies by your window
And you're too afraid to lookout
Too afraid to say hello accusing others of not socializing with you
But I have to say,
Why don't you lookout
Why don't you breathe
Why don't feel the fresh air
Why don't you say hello?
Is it because we want to know you
And I apply my voice to this air
So for all those stuck in there shell
Why are you afraid?
I look at you and ask through a haze,
What is in there, is it something we haven't seen?
We want to know, why you stay quiet
I want to know you
But what I have always wanted to say is
I want to be your friend
So I charge myself
How do I do that
How do I know you
How do you speak before me
What food draws you out
Rather that repels you?
Are my writings enough
Or do you need more
For if I would know you
I would wait
I would wait for times past
Hours gone and days ended,
I would wait just outside the window
For I is open to sounds I make, but screened shut
And your door is locked
But you could let me in
You could come to understand me
And I, you
I would be the rock
You could rest on
Or the river you drink from
I could turn into the hours you dream of
Or the house you see of
I could be,
Yours to be
You never knew me
And I never knew you
But we could be
Anything, but retained together
Through the window
The window of which
You look out to rolling hills
And open ocean
And you could open the door
And let me see the view
With you
Although we might both be light
Together like a lamp
We could heavily illuminate everything
Us together is as strong as a braid of ropes
And us apart is as weak as a rose
For what I have always wanted to say is
I know not what you stand for
But what you're made out of
Not who you are
But what you are
We know each other
But we cannot see what lies beyond the outside
We must only start to know
What is dark, is about to be light
If you know that
What I want to say is
I want to be with you,
I love you
